성 프란치스코의 주님 의기도 (Our Father by St. Francis of Assisi)

 

주님의기도 풀이 시대적 배경 중세에는 주의기도, 성모송, 사도신경과 같은 전례용 기도를 주석하여 기도문으로 사용하는 풍조가 있었다. 대개 라틴어로 기록되어 이런 기도문들을 대중들이 알아들을 수 없었기 때문에 대중들이 알아들을 수 있도록 해석하고 주석을 붙였다. 주의기도 풀이도 이런 기도문의 형태이다. 이 주의기도 풀이의 유래에 대해 두 가지의 견해가 있다. 하나는 본래 있던 주의기도 풀이를 프란치스꼬가 손질하였다는 견해이고, 또 하나는 프란치스꼬가 여러 자료들을 가지고 그의 개인적인 영성을 가미하여 새로운 기도로 만들었다는 견해이다. 이 견해가 보다 가능성이 높다. 주의기도 풀이는 프란치스꼬의 영성을 반영해 주는 글이다. 내용 이 기도문은 주의기도의 주석과 영광송으로 구성되어 있다. 이 기도문의 형식은 우리가 알고 있는 성인의 그것과 다소 상이하지만 신학과 영성은 프란치스꼬 고유의 것이다. 이 기도문에는 하느님께 대한 프란치스꼬의 깊은 신앙과 사랑과 희망이 담겨져 있고 종말론적 신앙이 짙게 깔려 있다. 1) “하늘에 계신 지극히 거룩하신 우리 아버지” : 우리의 창조자, 구속자, 위로자, 구원자시여, 2) 아버지는 천사들과 성인들과 함께 하늘에 계시나이다. 주님은 빛이시기에 당신을 인식하도록 그들을 비춰주시나이다. 주님은 사랑이시기에 당신을 사랑하도록 그들을 불로 태워 주시나이다. 주여, 당신은 지상 선이고 영원한 선이시오며 모든 선이 당신에게서 나오며 당신 없이는 어떠한 선도 없기에 그들이 복을 누리도록 그들 안에서 살고 그들을 채워 주시나이다. 3) “아버지의 이름이 거룩히 빛나소서”: 주님이 주신 은혜가 얼마나 넓고 주님이 하신 약속이 얼마나 길며 위엄은 얼마나 높고 판단하심이 그 얼마나 깊은지를 우리가 깨달을 수 있도록 당신께 대한 우리 인식이 밝아지게 하소서. 4) “그 나라가 임하소서”: 주여, 우리를 은총으로 다스리소서. 당신을 똑똑히 뵈옵고 당신을 완전히 사랑하고 당신과 복되게 일치하며 영원히 당신을 누리게 되는 당신의 그 나라로 우리를 인도하소서. 5) “아버지의 뜻이 하늘에서와 같이 땅에서도 이루어지소서”: 주여, 당신을 항상 생각함으로써 마음을 다하여 당신을 사랑하게 하소서. 당신을 항상 갈망함으로써 목숨을 다하여 당신을 사랑하게 하소서. 우리의 모든 지향을 당신께 두고 매사에 당신의 영예를 찾음으로써 생각을 다하여 당신을 사랑하게 하소서. 우리의 모든 힘과 영육의 감각을 다른 데에 허비하지 않고 당신 사랑의 봉사를 위해서만 바침으로써 힘을 다하여 당신을 사랑하게 하소서. 그리고 모든 이가 당신을 사랑하도록 우리의 힘이 닿는 대로 그들을 이끌고 다른 이들의 선을 마치 우리 것인 양 즐거워하며, 불행중에 있는 이들을 동정하고, 누구에게도 해를 입히지 않음으로써 우리 몸과 같이 우리 이웃을 사랑하게 하소서. 6) “오늘 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주소서”: 주님이 우리에게 가지셨던 사랑과 우리를 위하여 말씀하시고 행하시고 고통을 견디어 내신 것을 우리가 기억하고 이해하고 존경할 수 있도록 사랑하시는 당신의 아드님 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 오늘 우리에게 일용할 양식으로 주소서. 7) “우리 죄를 용서하소서”: 형언할 수 없는 당신의 자비와 사랑하시는 당신 아드님의 수난의 효력과 지극히 복되신 동정 마리아와 모든 뽑힌 이들의 공로와 전구로써 우리 죄를 용서하소서. 8) “우리에게 잘못한 이를 우리가 용서하듯이”: 그리고 우리가 완전히 용서하지 못하는 것을, 주여, 완전히 용서하게 해 주시어, 우리가 아무에게도 악을 악으로 갚는 일 없이(1데살 5,15) 주님 때문에 원수를 진정으로 사랑하고 원수를 위하여 당신께 열심히 기도하며 당신 안에서 모든 이에게 유익한 사람이 되도록 노력하게 해 주소서. 9) “우리를 유혹에 빠지지 말게 하소서”: 감춰진 유혹이나 드러난 유혹, 갑작스런 유혹이나 끈질긴 유혹에 빠지지 말게 하소서. 10) “악에서 구하소서”: 과거와 현재와 미래의 악에서 구하소서. 영광이 성부와 … A Prayer inspired by the Our Father by St. Francis of Assisi O Our Father most holy: Our Creator, Redeemer, Consoler, and Saviour  Who are in heaven: In the angels and the saints, enlightening them to know, for You, Lord, are light; inflaming them to love, for You, Lord, are love; dwelling in them and filling them with happiness, for You, Lord, are Supreme Good, the Eternal Good, from Whom all good comes without Whom there is no good. Holy be Your Name: May knowledge of You become clearer in us that we may know the breadth of Your blessings, the length of Your promises, the height of Your majesty, the depth of Your judgements. Your kingdom come: That You may rule in us through Your grace and enable us to come to Your kingdom where there is clear vision of You, perfect love of You, blessed companionship with You, eternal enjoyment of You. Your will be done data-on earth as in heaven: That we may love You with our whole heart by always thinking of You, with our whole soul by always desiring You, with our whole mind by always directing all our intentions to You, and by seeking Your glory in everything with all our whole strength by exerting all our energies and affections of body and soul in the service of Your love and of nothing else; and we may love our neighbour as ourselves by drawing them all to Your love with our whole strength, by rejoicing in the good of others as in our own by suffering with others at their misfortunes, and by giving offence to no data-one. Give us this day:  in remembrance, understanding and reverence of that love which our Lord Jesus Christ had for us and of those things that He said and did and suffered for us. Our daily bread: Your own beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Forgive us our trespasses: through Your ineffable mercy through the power of the passion of Your beloved Son and through the merits and intercession of the ever blessed Virgin and all Your elect. As we forgive those who trespass against us: And what we do not completely forgive, make us, Lord, forgive completely that we may truly love our enemies because of You and we may fervently intercede for them before You, returning no data-one evil for evil and we may strive to help everyone in You. And lead us not into temptation:  hidden or obvious, sudden or persistent. But deliver us from evil: past, present and to come. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
