26. 하느님의 종들은 성직자들을 존경할 것입니다.

1 로마 교회의 관습을 따라 올바르게 생활하는 성직자들에 대해 신앙심을 가지는 종은 복됩니다.
2 그리고 이 분들을 업신여기는 사람들은 불행합니다. 비록 그 분들이 죄인들이라 해도 주님 자신만이 이들을 판단하는 것을 당신 자신에게 유보시키시기에 아무도 이분들을 판단하지 말아야 합니다. 
3 이분들은 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 지극히 거룩하신 몸과 피에 봉사하는 직분, 즉 자기 자신들도 이를 영하고 자신들만이 다른 이들에게 분배하는 직분을 가지고 있기에, 이 직분은 다른 어느 직분보다 더 큰 것인 만큼, 이 세상의 다른 어떤 사람에게 짓는 죄보다 이 분들에게 짓는 죄는 더 큰 것입니다. 

 

27. 악습을 몰아내는 덕행 

1 사랑과 지혜가 있는 곳에 두려움도 무지도 없습니다.
2 인내와 겸손이 있는 곳에 분노도 흥분도 없습니다.
3 기쁨과 더불어 가난이 있는 곳에 탐욕도 욕심도 없습니다.
4 고요와 묵상이 있는 곳에 근심도 분심도 없습니다.
5 "자기 집을 지키기 위하여"(루가 11,21)주님께 대한 경외심이 있는 곳에 원수가 침입할 틈이 없습니다.
6 자비심과 깊은 사려가 있는 곳에 경박도 고집도 없습니다.

 

 

XXVI. Religious should be respectful towards the clergy

 

Blessed is that servant of God who has confidence in priests who live according to the laws of the holy Roman Church. Woe to those who despise them. Even if they fall into sin, no one should pass judgment on them, for God has reserved judgement on them to himself. They are in a privileged position because they have charge of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, which they receive and which they alone administer to others, and so anyone who sins against them commits a greater crime than if he sinned against anyone else in the whole world.

 

 

 

 

XXII Virtue And Vice

 

Where there is Love and Wisdom,

         there is neither Fear nor Ignorance.

Where there is Patience and Humility,

         there s neither Anger nor Annoyance.

Where there is Poverty and Joy,

         there is neither Cupidity nor Avarice.

Where there is Peace and Contemplation,

         there is neither Care nor Restlessness.

Where there is the Fear of God to guard the dwelling,

         there no enemy can enter.

Where there is Mercy and Prudence,

         there in neither Excess nor Harshness
